Time to stop playing politics with water
YOURSAY 'BN is essentially saying, vote for BN then you will get water. If you don't vote for me, I will create trouble for you.'
Tee Keat 'denied entry' to Wangsa Maju pump house
Unmasked: If Pandan MP Ong Tee Keat is not allowed to enter the pumphouse to have a first-hand inspection of the problem, something is definitely very wrong.
As MP for the affected area, he has a duty to report back to the people of Pandan who had elected him. How is he going to do that if he is denied access to the pumphouse?
These cronies are too powerful - there is nothing even a BN MP can do. What is going on? Something has to be done to change this absurd culture. Time for ABU (Anything but Umno), Ong?
Apache: Water concessionaire Syabas is acting as if they run the state of Selangor. Why can't they allow members of parliament, state assemblypersons and the menteri besar to inspect and rectify the problems?
Or do they have something to hide with regards to the recent water disruptions?
Azizan: Syabas is working hand in hand with BN to bring down the Pakatan Rakyat Selangor government. This is a dirty tactic by Syabas to frustrate the Selangor people so they will vote BN back to power in the state.
PM Najib Razak has said if we vote for BN, all the water problems will be solved immediately. What is the meaning of such a statement?
Doesn't this imply there is a hidden hand behind the water ‘crisis'? It looks like all the water issues are purposely created by Syabas.
Anonymous_40f4: If the federal government, Span and Syabas has any problems supplying water to Selangor, then please hand over the water supply to the state government instead of giving excuses and lying.
Najib should stop playing politics with water. It is very unprofessional and ill-mannered.
Humblevoice: They are claiming there is a water crisis while we are having unprecedented amount of rainfall and suffering from floods all over the state? This is bullshit. This is declaring war on the people and holding them to ransom.
This is the last straw for me. If this is what BN wants, I will make this my crusade. No more hiding in my tiny little comfort zone. This is the time to go all out to make sure that the whole corrupt culture is voted out once and for all.
Gggg: This is what happens when you privatise utilities companies to cronies.
Gen Half Track: The message here is clear, vote for BN and water will flow from your taps. Otherwise...
Foo: We had the same long nightmare in Malacca when Rahim Tamby Chik was the Malacca CM. Until today nobody knows what really happened, except that the reservoir was left to dry up for some ‘reasons'.
Ssaniku: This issue of using water to make the rakyat suffer was used in Sabah during Usno's time. We hope the people of Selangor will see through the plot played by the Najib government.
iloveBN: This is a good lesson for the affected people on how ungrateful BN is. They only know how to collect your taxes and enjoy all of it, but yet they purposely put you into trouble and shift the blame to the Selangor government.
Well folks, if this doesn't anger you enough to throw them out of Putrajaya, I don't know what will. Logic will tell you that it would be impossible for all four pumps in Wangsa Maju to fail at the same time.
Why don't they let Tee Keat to inspect the pumps? Worried that he may find the pumps are actually working? Trust me people, all pumps don't fail at one go. They have been deliberately disabled.
If the pumps are really spoiled, then Syabas should be sacked for their incompetency and the contract given to someone else.
Super[X]: BN is essentially saying, vote for BN then you will get water - I help you, you help me. If you don't vote for me, I will create trouble for you.
Fair Play: Syabas has given every reason for the rakyat and the Selangor government to bury them permanently.
Anonymous #05023297: The management of Syabas should be charged with treason. It does not matter if it comes up this year or the next. Just put them on notice that we will go after them and there would be no hiding for these Umno-BN cronies.
Anti Umno: Pandan MP Ong Tee Keat, Najib and your party boss Chua Soi Lek do not give a damn about you. That's why your constituency is affected. Even though Najib wants to win badly, he does not mind if you lose in Pandan.
Mushiro: Najib says ‘rakyat didahulukan'? This manipulated water crisis will backfire and hit Umno even worse.
The people now understand that Umno will go to any level to cheat and fool the people just to win the elections.
SteveK: Who knows, the pumps are actually functioning perfectly, only that the key to switch them on is being held by Najib.
